Duo Dramatique To Pair Up with Amaanah Refugee Services!
The Duo is extremely excited to have the opportunity to give back to Houston refugee communities in collaboration with one of Houston's most valued charities: Amaanah Refugee Services. Together with ARS Duo Dramatique curates a special recital on May 30, 2020 at the University of St.Thomas, featuring international music by Iranian, Turkish, German and American-Jewish composers. Highlighting the contributions of immigrant composers to the fabric of American arts, this program will also feature guest artist, Iranian baritone Mohammad Salman. There will also be a visual addition to the music experience: we will present works by internationally recognized tintype photographer Judit German-Heins. Prints of her work will be available for purchase as a way to contribute to the cause.
The audience will enjoy a deeply moving and educational evening. The donations will support Amaanah Refugee Services.
Duo Dramatique's Busy Winter 2020!
The Duo has been extremely busy in January/February 2020. We have performed several diverse recitals for communities in Houston and San Antonio area, including Italian themed "Serenata Italiana" concert at the University of St.Thomas, "The World Is Yours" at the Cave Without a Name in Boerne, TX, an educational concert accompanying the showing of "Leonardo: The Works" movie at the Museum of Fine Arts, and a fun and eclectic house concert. Duo Dramatique Performs Debut Recital at Rice University's

The Duo presents "HOUSTON TREASURES: FIVE PREMIERES", a concert of five world premieres of music by Houston-based composers connected to Rice University Shepherd School of Music. The Duo commissioned five new works dedicated specifically to the ensemble from world-renowned composers and Rice professors:
Art Gottschalk, Richard Lavenda, as well as three current Rice students and alumni: Philip Miller, Karl Blench and Erberk Eryilmaz. This exciting project brings together several generations of artists, and allows the listeners to enjoy the unique approach and diversity of their music styles. Duo Dramatique to Make Their Debut at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston!
The Duo will present a Gallery Concert at Houston's MFAH on August 29 at 6.30PM, in conjunction with the current exhibit "Icons of Style. A Century of Fashion Photography". The concert, titled "Time Travel Through Style", will highlight how changes in style affected arts and music throughout different eras. Come and enjoy "time travel" from Baroque, through Classical, Romantic, 20th Century to Contemporary music styles, listen The Duo give short, entertaining talks about the pieces they perform. The Dancewicz-Doucet Duo Becomes Duo Dramatique!
The Duo unveiled their new stage name at the season-closing recital at the University of St.Thomas in Houston on June 1, 2019! Finishing 2018-2019 concert season with the exciting concert "MUSIC OF THE STORM", Duo Dramatique dazzled the audiences with the virtuosity of Schubert Sonata in A Major, the passion of Astor Piazzolla's tango "Vuelvo al Sur", and the combination of both in Beethoven's famous "Kreutzer Sonata". The recital had a huge turnout and was a wonderful success! The Duo is looking forward to the beginning of 2019-2020 concert season with the debut performance at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston (MFAH) on August 29!
The Dancewicz-Doucet Duo Performs Debut Recital at San Antonio's Tobin Center for the Performing Arts
The Duo made their debut at the famous Texas venue on March 30, 2019 with a recital titled "Devotion & Resilience". Invited by the Classical Music Institute of San Antonio, The Duo's concert was a part of CMI's season titled " The Year of a Woman", presenting music by women composers in relationship to their male counterparts. The Dancewicz-Doucet Duo performed music by Clara Schumann, Grazyna Bacewicz, Karol Szymanowski and Robert Schumann, all locked into a fascinating narration about human and musical relationships, history, celebration of national identity and love. The recital was a huge success, attracting big audience and rendering enthusiastic applause. Some of the comments after the performance: "best CMI concert ever!", "we were blown away". The Duo is grateful for such a warm reception! We can't wait to be back!

The Dancewicz-Doucet Duo Officially Begins 2018-19 Concert Season With "Identity"
The Duo has been busy: starting in early September we have been unstoppable, and so far presented two big recitals ("Music and Stories" on September 1 in the Cave Without a Name in the Texas Hill Country, and a concert titled "Woman Power" on September 7 in Missouri City, TX) and a sold-out house concert in the Houston Heights on October 6. Now it is time to officially kick off our main recital series at the University of St.Thomas - we will present our new program titled "Identity", with music by Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Arthur Gottschalk and Amy Beach. The concert is at the UST's Cullen Hall on November 10, at 7.30PM. Admission is FREE!

The Dancewicz-Doucet Duo Plays a Series of Recitals in Dallas, Texas to Enthusiastic Acclaim!
The Duo was hosted by the popular Dallas/Fort Worth classical music organization Open Classical, who organized three recitals within its Artist Series branch. The Duo presented two sold-out house concerts and a matinee performance at the listening room at Times Ten Cellars. We gained new fans and supporters and thoroughly enjoyed sharing our music with new audiences!
The Dancewicz-Doucet Duo Releases Debut Album
The Duo's first commercial CD with Violin Sonatas by Edward Elgar, W.A.Mozart and Claude Debussy has been released in a spectacular concert on January 27, 2018 at the University of St.Thomas in Houston. The event was hailed as "riveting" and it gathered full-house audience and earned the artists several standing ovations.
The Duo's debut CD will be also promoted in a series of recitals in Dallas/Fort Worth in May 2018, and in the Cave Without a Name in Boerne, TX. The album, titled simply "The Dancewicz-Doucet Duo" is now available worldwide on all internet platforms - iTunes, GooglePlay, Spotify and Amazon. The Duo's 2017-2018
The Dancewicz-Doucet Duo presented the season-opening concert at the University of St.Thomas on November 18, 2017, and it was EXCITING! Featuring Violin Sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven and Leos Janacek, the program also included the fabulous "Suite for Violin and Jazz Piano-Trio" by Claude Bolling. We packed the house and earned a vivacious standing ovation! What a night!
Be sure to mark your calendars with the dates of The Duo's remaining residency concerts at the University of St.Thomas: our debut CD release concert on January 27, 2018 at 7.30PM, as well as our season finale presenting Piano Trios by Rachmaninov, Francaix and Brahms with guest artist Mark Yee on June 10, 2018 at 7.30PM.
